Create a new project in Cricut Design Space and then upload the Money Holder SVG template and add it to your canvas. Click on “ungroup” to ungroup your layers.

Note: There are multiple pre-made sayings to choose from, but you can remove the text and add any text that you want.

How to Modify Templates in Design Space

After your items are ungrouped, select the group with the lines and change the operation to score. You will need to do with the envelope as well if you are using the envelope template.

If you are using the included phrases, then click on the text and change the operation to pen. To add your own text, then delete this layer and add your own text. If you are new to using Cricut pens, then make sure to check out my full Cricut writing tutorial which also has suggestions for my favorite free writing fonts.

Design Tip: It’s fun to add a hidden message underneath where the money goes!

Next, select your pen layers, your score line and the money holder together and select “attach”. You can select multiple layers at a time by holding down shift as you select them.

Once everything is attached, click on “Make It” to cut everything out. Just follow the prompts in Design Space for when to add your scoring tool and pens.

How to Assemble the Money Holder Cards & Envelopes

For the money holder cards, start by folding in on both of the score lines. Then glue the pattern paper to the front and add your cash. Use the slot to hold your card closed when you are done.
