Cricut Money Holders

Use your Cricut or Silhouette cutting machine to create these Cricut Money Holders! This is such a fun way to make giving a money gift more personalized and are perfect for so many different holidays and occasions. With each project that I create with my Cricut, I am seriously more and more impressed with all it can do! I mean, these money holders are just so cool. And I amazed at all the projects the Cricut can make with just cardstock!

How to Make a Cricut Money Holders:
To make these Cricut money holders, you will need:
- Medium or Heavy Weight Cardstock in your color choices – I recommend this glitter cardstock or this textured cardstock.
- Cricut Maker or Explore Cutting Machine and your standard cutting mat.
- Cricut Pens – I am using the 0.4mm Black Pen, but any Cricut pens will work.
- Glue
- Money Holder SVG – Download at the bottom of the post

Upload SVG Template & Modify Pen Layers
Upload the money holder SVG to Cricut Design Space. If needed, this tutorial will show you how to upload files to Cricut Design Space.
Before cutting your money holders, you will need to modify your pen layers. First, start with ungrouping your layers. Select your item and select “Ungroup”.
You will then need to change all of the writing layers to “Pen” in the operations menu. I left the text on its own layer so you can easily remove the text and add your own if you wish. So, for some of the cards, there will be 2 layers that you need to change to “Pen”.

After you change your writing layers to pen, you need to attach them to your money holder. Select your pen layers and your money holder together by holding down shift as you select them, and then select “Attach”.
Cut & Assemble Your Money Holders
You are now ready to cut your project. Click on “Make It.” You should see your pen layers on top of your money holder template as shown in the picture below. If you do not, then go back and make sure you have attached your pen layers to your money holder layer.
Follow the prompts on your computer to cut your money holders. If you are using your pen, then make sure to insert this first.
Once you remove your cardstock from the mat, you can begin to assemble your money holder. Start by folding the pieces where the money goes inward.
Then, glue the front of the money holder to the back piece. Make sure that you don’t glue down the tabs that hold the money or the butterfly wings for the butterfly gift card holder.
And that’s all there is to it! Just roll up your money and add it to your money holder.
