Step by Step Tutorial:

Step 1: Upload the Free Egg Holder SVG Files to Design Space

Upload the Easter Bunny Egg Holders to Cricut Design Space. If needed, this tutorial will show you how to upload files to Cricut Design Space. Before editing your design, you will need to Ungroup your Layers. With all your layers selected, click on “ungroup”.

Step 2: Modify Your Score Lines

If using a Cricut machine, you will need to change the layer with the black lines to “Score” instead of “Cut” in Design Space. You can select all the layers together by holding down shift.

If your cutting machine does not have the scoring option, hide those layers and score the pieces by hand with your scoring board and stylus after you cut it. The scoring feature is really useful when making paper crafts. So, if you don’t have a Scoring Stylus or Scoring Wheel (Maker only), I definitely recommend getting one.

Change Cut Lines to Score Lines

Attach your score lines to your bottom piece. Hold down shift and select your bottom piece with the score lines, then select “attach”.

Step 3: Cut Your Easter Egg Holders

You are now ready to cut your Easter Egg Holders. Click on “Make It.” You should see your score lines on top of the bottom piece as shown in the picture below. If you do not, then go back and make sure you have attached your score lines to the box layer.

Follow the prompts on your computer to cut your Easter egg holders. If you are using your scoring tool, then make sure to insert this first.

Step 4: Assemble the Easter Bunny Egg Holders

After all your pieces are cut, remove from your mat. Then, assemble your pieces. First glue your layered bunny pieces together. Then, attach the eyes and nose.

Next, you will attach the base piece. Fold down on the score lines and glue each of your bunny pieces to the opposite ends.

Once your egg holder has dried, add in your egg and attach the ears using glue. Once this dries, your egg holder is ready to go! Repeat these steps for each design and size that you want to make.
