How to Make Chapstick Valentine Cards
These non-candy Valentine gifts are super easy to make, and you only need a few items to make them. You can download this free Valentine printable below.
Chapstick
This “You’re the Balm Valentine” is made for Chapstick! With the variety of Chapstick flavors, you can have a lot of fun with this! We did the Cake Batter flavor last year which was a perfect flavor for both the boys and the girls!
Light Cardstock Paper
For this Valentine printable, you don’t want to use a heavy cardstock. Using a lightweight cardstock paper will allow your card to be more flexible and hold the Chapstick better. I use this Bright White Cardstock for this project and for most of my printable crafts.
Paper Cutter or Cutting Machine
You can always cut the designs by hand with scissors. However, if you want perfectly straight lines, you either need to use a paper cutter or a cutting machine. I recommend the Swingline Paper Cutter for a high quality, yet inexpensive paper cutter.
When cutting with your Cricut, you will need to use the file labeled Cricut and add cut lines to your design where you see the marks for them. If you have never used the Print then Cut feature with your Cricut, or aren’t sure how use this feature with complex patterns, then you’ll want to check out this Print Then Cut tutorial for your Cricut.
Printer
You can use any color printer for these free printable graphics. But, if you are using a Cricut Machine for cutting, it is recommended to use an Inkjet color printer.
