How to Make Easter Candy Holders with Your Cricut:
To make these bunny and chick Easter candy holders, you will need:
- Medium or Heavy Weight Cardstock – If you don’t have cardstock on hand, you can grab this variety pack or cardstock which has all the colors you will need for these Easter candy holder SVG files.
- Cricut Maker or Explore Cutting Machine and your standard cutting mat.
- 80mm Clear Fillable Round Ornaments. I linked to the ones that I use, if you use a different size, you will need to resize the SVG files accordingly {instructions are in the video}.
- Adhesive foam dots or adhesive foam tape.
- Glue – This Bearly Art craft glue is my new favorite glue for paper crafts!
- Candy such as robins easter eggs, easter colored M&Ms or small gifts.

How to Resize the Easter Candy Holders
Upload the Easter candy holder SVG files to Cricut Design Space and then ungroup the layers. If you are using 80mm ornaments, then you do not need to resize the files. But, if you have a different size ornament, then make sure to resize these to fit.
To resize the candy holders, measure the opening of your ornament. Then, create a circle in Cricut Design Space this same size. Use this as a guide for resizing the designs. Make sure the circle in the design is the same size as your circle guide. Then delete the circle guide when you are done.
Note: When resizing the design with the closing mechanism, you need to resize the closing mechanism with the candy holder.

How to Assemble the Bunny Candy Holder
1. Glue the white bunny layer on top of the black bunny layer. Make sure to add the teeth as well. Then glue your eggshell on top. And then glue the white bunny foot on top of the pink foot layer. Do this for both feet.
2. Using either your foam dots or foam tape, place these randomly on the back of the bunny layer that you just assembled. Make sure to remove the cover from the adhesive pieces.
3. Place the assembled bunny layer (with the foam dots) on the pink (bottom) bunny layer, making sure to add your round ornament in its place. Press down to adhere the foam dots.
Note: When assembling the perforated version, you need to add the candy in the ornament before step 3.
4. Using your foam dots or tape, attach the hands and feet of your bunny.
5. To assemble the closing mechanism, take the piece with the arrow and place it in-between the 2 round pieces. Glue down the tabs, using just a little glue. You don’t want the glue to seep into the middle piece with the tab/arrow. This middle part should move freely.
Then glue the closing mechanism to the back of your candy holder. Line it up so that it opens and closes where the cut out is. Once it’s dry, add your candy!

How to Assemble the Baby Chick Candy Holder
1. Glue the yellow chick layer on top of the black chick layer. Glue the 2 eggshell pieces on top and then glue on the orange beak.
2. Using either your foam dots or foam tape, place these randomly on the back of the chick layer that you just assembled. Make sure to remove the cover from the adhesive pieces.
3. Place the assembled chick layer (with the foam dots) on the white (bottom) chick layer, making sure to add your round ornament in its place. Press down to adhere the foam dots.
Note: When assembling the perforated version, you need to add the candy in the ornament before step 3.

These Easter candy holders are pretty easy to put together and they are a lot of fun to give! These are perfect for giving treats to friends and also teachers and classmates! And you don’t just have to put candy in these. Any small toys, bracelets, fidgets, bunny erasers, etc. will go in these as well.
