How to Make these Scrunchie Ballerina Valentine Cards with Your Cricut
These scrunchie Ballerina Valentines are so easy to make, and you only need a few items to make them. You will need a printer and you can either use scissors or your cutting machine to cut these. If you do not have a printer, a layered SVG file is also included so you can create these as a layered project. You can download all files at the bottom of this post. You will also need:
Scrunchies!! You can find scrunchies just about anywhere, but if you order online, you can buy them in bulk at a much better price! My daughter’s favorite are these Tie Dye Velvet Scrunchies, these Rabit Bunny Ear Scrunchies and these pink velvet scrunchies.
For this Valentine printable, you will want a decent cardstock. I recommend using this Bright White Cardstock or this diamond print white glitter cardstock. These ballerinas look so pretty printed on this glitter cardstock. Since the white glitter cardstock is so awesome, it’s not always in stock. If this is the case, go with this Printworks white glitter cardstock. If you do find either of these glitter cardstocks in stock, STOCK UP!! I promise, you will LOVE it!
Customize & Print Then Cut Your Ballerinas
If you would like to customize which ballerinas you cut, or the colors for the skin, hair, clothes, etc., you can do this with the layered SVG File in Cricut Design Space. Before you can edit the file, you will need to ungroup the layers. Click on your image and select “ungroup.” When you upload the SVG File, it is already the correct size, no need to resize it.
To change colors, click on the layer (in your layers panel) that you want to change, then click on the color icon and choose your color. You can click on “Advanced” for more color options.
Once your ballerinas are ready, you need to prepare them to print then cut. You can only do 2 ballerinas at a time. Hide 2 of your ballerinas by clicking on the “eyeball” for the ballerina layer.
With 2 ballerinas left, move them close together. Click on both ballerinas (hold down shift to select both at the same time). Then, select flatten.
You are now ready to print then cut your Valentine cards!
How to Print Then Cut Ballerina Valentine Cards
Click on “Make It”. You should see both of your ballerinas within a square black box. Click “Continue” and follow the prompts to print your image.
Once your image has been printed, place on your cutting mat and follow the prompts for your cricut to cut your design out. Remove your ballerinas from your cutting mat and they are ready to go!
